Sarah Snell Cooke
Sarah Snell Cooke is principal at Cooke Consulting Solutions, a business and communications strategy firm that helps business partners reach credit unions and community banks. And, in 2022, at the urging of her clients, she partnered with her husband to launch The Credit Union Connection, which offers multimedia analysis with a touch of personality, a focus on credit union careers and leadership, and a healthy dose of information about what’s helping to keep credit unions relevant. She has 25 years of experience in business, communications and credit unions.
Prior to launching her consulting business in March 2017, Sarah served 18 years at Credit Union Times, progressing from Washington, D.C. reporter to editor-in-chief to publisher/editor-in-chief. She volunteered at APL FCU in Laurel, Md., concluding after 12 years in 2024 as vice chair. She founded and co-chaired the Capital Region Sister Society of WOCCU’s Global Women’s Leadership Network for more than 10 years. She was named to the 2015 Folio Top Women in Media and ALM Media’s 2015 Manager of the Year.
Sarah holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in journalism. She recently relocated from Maryland to Conway, S.C. She has been happily married to John for 24 years, with whom she has a son, a daughter and now their first grandchild.
